Help Me See: Photo Consciousness with Bianca Lea Morra

Help Me See is a living audio journal about the art of living awake.

this isn’t really about photographs. it’s about photographic consciousness - a way of being and meeting life through the moment before you even think to take a picture.

I talk about what I’m making and what I’m unmaking,
how the self creates our lens,
and the ways we return to our own aliveness when we see beyond the image.

if you’ve ever felt the ache to be here more without even really knowing what that means-
you’re in the right place.

Join photographic artist, writer, & educator Bianca Lea Morra as we discover living through full body seeing.

Sometimes vision is more about what you don't see than what you do.What happens when we take ourselves seriously? When we don't settle for A, B, C, or D and instead make up our own damn letter.Just because you haven't seen it done before doesn't mean it's not a possibility. In this episode I get all revved up about my biggest strength- being a possibilitarian in my life. This isn't about "seeing the bright side" or "being positive". This is about consciously listening to that small voice inside and being led by the nuance of what truly feels best to you over "good enough".Can you think of something in your life right now that kinda just feels "good enough"? What would make it feel amazing? What if we moved through the discomfort of change and habit and broke through to something that feels completely unique and fulfilling to you?In this episode I talk about some of the reasons why I love those that inspire me and how someone that fully leans into their specific zone of heart and soul feels the most rich and expansive- regardless of how specific the focus is.Show Notes:OFFER :Free Mini Course, See Nostalgia Now- An Excerpt from my 5 Week Course on Simple, Doable, Easy Ways to Save The Most Important Moments Of Your Life.Free Discovery Call-  define your unique personal version of presence & possibility in your life so that you can recognize the nostalgia in your now & live a life of intention- free from the cloud of guilt, shame, & overwhelm.https://calendly.com/biancaleamorra/20minMore from Bianca:www.biancaleamorra.comBook Your NLP Breakthrough Session Meditations for Photographic Artists: https://insighttimer.com/biancaleamorraFree weekly coworking: PHOTO yogaMonthly Membership: Nostalgia, Now.IG: @biancaleamorrahttps://www.instagram.com/biancaleamorra/

But also, empowering.Today on the show we have Health Coach Kate McCauley talking through what it means to tune into your inner voice during times of stress. She shares tangible methods that she uses with her own clients to help them transform old patterns into new ones. Kate's work is all about maximizing mindset and living happier, healthier lives.Your turn!journal prompt:What habit you would like to invite into your life on purpose?Show Notes:More from Coach Kate McCauleyhttps://shop.danunow.com/https://www.instagram.com/health_coach_danu/Help Me See Freebie Offer:Free Mini Course, See Nostalgia Now- An Excerpt from my 5 Week Course on Simple, Doable, Easy Ways to Save The Most Important Moments Of Your Life.More from Bianca:www.biancaleamorra.comBook Your NLP Breakthrough Session Meditations for Photographic Artists: https://insighttimer.com/biancaleamorraFree weekly coworking: PHOTO yogaMonthly Membership: Nostalgia, Now.IG: @biancaleamorrahttps://www.instagram.com/biancaleamorra/

It all started with a panic attack at around 11 years old lying in my bed in the dark thinking about how death meant “nothingness”.Have you ever looked back at a former version of yourself and marveled at how both simple and complicated everything was at the same time?Who even was that person thinking those thoughts and doing those things? Our answers can be right on the tip of our nose but we aren’t able to see if we aren't able to see it. (that wasn't a typo)Today on the show for the very first time I string together the pivotal thought processes in my life that have led me to where I am today. Through this reflection I discover how my biggest fear became my biggest superpower. Journal Prompt:I would love to invite you to think about pivotal moments in your life and jot them down in chronological order. Can you find your thread? When did a fear become a strength? No matter how big or small.Leave your answer or a key takeaway in a review for the podcast- I'd love to give you a shout out on the show <3Help Me See10 Day Daily Photo Habit Challenge- Need some help reigniting the magic in your mundane? When is the last time you put yourself first? When is the last time you truly thought, what do I need right now? There is a reason why they tell you to put your oxygen mask on first in an airplane. It's my belief that sometimes being "selfless" can cause far more harm than we realize. Amber Dolan-Bath is a mother’s empowerment and spiritual mentor. She created "Spirit of Mother", a community which holds and cultivates this vision of this village of mothers and mothers to be coming together to support themselves and each other on a soul level. This is an empowering conversation around what it means to fully own your ability to write the rules (or lack there of) in your life. When Amber had her daughter, she struggled with her faith with the divine, her self love, and her capacity for other people. After spending an entire year crying everyday, she said, "no more!"Join us and consider what different choices you might make if you decided that YOU truly do make all of the rules in your life.SHOW NOTES: More from Amber-Spirit of Mother PodcastSpirit of Mother WebsiteInstagram: @iamspiritofmotherHelp Me See10 Day Daily Photo Habit Challenge- Jumpstart reimagining the connection between your mindset & your endless photo scroll. Take Sad Photos

Wednesday Apr 27, 2022

Wednesday Apr 27, 2022

If you only take one kind of photo, you only have one kind of memory to look back on. Capturing the not so happy moments can be crucial in helping us process, heal, and recognize how far we’ve come in the full scope of our lives when we feel ready to reflect. This is about considering the possibility to process a moment in a different way. And in turn, giving your future self the opportunity to reflect on the fullness of your life.An archive of one dimensional photographs of happy times can be disorienting when you’re looking back on your life.Personally, the benefits of looking back on “sad” photos has been healing, given me perspective on my growth, and greater compassion for myself.PROMPT:Maybe next time you’re in a somber moment you take a photograph to see how it feels. You don’t even have to look at it for who even knows how long. But sit with how it feels to know you have this moment in time documented.SHOW NOTES:10 Day Daily Photo Habit Challenge- Jumpstart reimagining the connection between your mindset & your endless photo scroll. What happens when we don't glaze over the nooks & crannies of our mind? When we become a stand for our nuanced truths and really dig deep into who we are..Today I get intentional about naming why I've been hesitant to commit to the motherhood space.  Any mamas not necessarily wanting to talk about their kids or their motherhood every spare second of their time? We also talk about releasing bothersome patterns/habits by tracking down the sneaky source of discomfort from not so obvious origins. Journal Prompt:What is a recurring bothersome feeling/habit you want to release that you don't quite understand where it came from? Try to trace it back to its origin. Remember- it doesn't necessarily have to be a big event to have made an enduring impact. What story are you telling yourself that you're ready to put down?SHOW NOTES:Join Nostalgia, NowMore from Bianca:www.biancaleamorra.comBook Your NLP Breakthrough Session Meditations for Photographic Artists: https://insighttimer.com/biancaleamorraFree weekly coworking: PHOTO yogaMonthly Membership: Nostalgia, Now.IG: @biancaleamorrahttps://www.instagram.com/biancaleamorra/

I turned my biggest fear into a beautiful vision for my life.

At 11 yrs old, I was in bed staring at the dark ceiling and I had my first ever panic attack while considering the meaning of death. I just kept thinking, "nothing. nothing, nothing, nothing." The idea that everything that was so important to me would eventually turn into nothing, was too much for my 11 yr old brain to handle.

I became obsessed with documenting, saving, & creating things with meaning. Grease stained lunch notes, home video stills, and creating immersive installations dedicated to loved ones present & passed-I viewed everything through a nostalgic lens. I saw through the current state and into the sentimental core of it all. I received my BFA in Photography and continued living my life with a deep desire to make it count & not miss it. (whatever "it " was)

In 2021, the death of my beloved dog, my first real loss in life, confirmed that the work I had been creating and my process for living it served a higher and an infinitely more expansive purpose. Grief, comfort, love, self discovery- I didn't find refuge in grand, polished places. I found what I needed in the chronicles of my seemingly mundane nothingness. There is was, the whole time. I knew it all along and yet- I needed to be reminded. Don't we always know? Sometimes we all just need reminding.

Since then I have launched a podcast, an intimate membershipeducation, & photographic commission offerings. All of my work is centered around showing you that your "nothing" is really your everything. All you have to do is see.

Join me at the intersection of mindful photographic practice, connecting to your truth, & creative expression so that you can live more of your life on purpose.
