Our tools are amazing and I am so thankful for them- HOWEVER,Technology changes.Gear changes.Your taste changes. What's "on trend" changes. We commit so much time, space, & energy into putting a lot of effort into perfecting something only for it to change. What if that energy went into something far more timeless? Far more enduring? Far more fulfilling?Being present & calm in the face of nerves & constraint is the #1 reason I am always able to center myself in any shoot situation.Take a listen to learn more about this massive unlock.PS-Are you an artist looking to strengthen your vision & connection to your work? There I was in the middle of a session and my camera was crapping out on me.I was frustrated and felt really uncomfortable after the shoot...but when I stopped to really think about why- actually, why- I realized that the camera malfunction really wasn't what I actually cared about...Maybe momentum doesn't mean things progressing without a hitch- maybe it means finding ease and meaning and knowing even in the spaces that don't feel so good at the time.More from Bianca:www.biancaleamorra.comBook Your NLP Breakthrough Session Meditations for Photographic Artists: https://insighttimer.com/biancaleamorraFree weekly coworking: PHOTO yogaMonthly Membership: Nostalgia, Now.IG: @biancaleamorrahttps://www.instagram.com/biancaleamorra/

When you walk into a space open to seeing truth vs immediately searching for "ideal" conditions or what is familiar, it is only then that you are able to create something that transcends time, space, & limited standards.Making good photographs is not the point. Making something that is a visual representation of what we have no words for...that's what is possible.Today I talk about how bravery & presence is far more important than skill when you are photographing people. If we can be with the intention of showing something real and sincere instead of trying to make something we are guessing they will like, we are reaching beyond standards/trends and into co creation, discovery & love. Sometimes we can take something that energizes us and somehow turn it into something  draining. But how does this happen? Why is it so hard to see it while it's happening? & most importantly, how can we empower ourselves to pivot in a way that is aligned with our highest self?Meghan Doll has been a professional photographer for the last 20 years. She now educates and coaches other professional photographers how to create sustainable, profitable businesses that allow them to live the life of their dreams. Meghan talks about how her original dream business ended up completely depleting her and what she decided to do about it.Stereotypical success doesn't mean a thing if it doesn't feel good to you.  You have the power to define your success & your path. What gets to happen when you lean into what feels good rather than just dipping your toe in it?Why do we “treat” ourselves instead of implementing what feels good & right as a standard of being?Sometimes I feel like I'm so programmed to plug things into my life as a means to an end that I forget to enjoy something just for the sake of it. No end game. No direct benefit. Just choosing to spend time in an experience for the experience's sake. When is the last time you did that? For me, even going to yoga class has been implemented into my schedule as a means to wellness- not for the experience. But the more I go the more I realize the point is there is no point. “Making it through” the hour so I can rush off and be productive in my day is missing the point. I am not allowing the experience to be transformative and life giving if I am dismissing it as another box on my to do list.Today on the show we have the amazing Sara Cousineau. Sara is a Coach/Doula/ Witness of Miracles. Through her journey, she has evolved through education & practice from an accountant into a holistic nutritionist, yoga teacher, massage therapist, meditation teacher, sex & relationship coach and birth & postpartum doula. She coaches women who want to experience more joy, pleasure & fulfillment in their lives. Many of these women are experiencing burnout, chronic illness and or/have experienced previous trauma/abuse.  Sara shares her story, her gift, and how expansive life gets to be when we lean into pleasure as our central life force rather than a sporadic experience.See more from Sara-Website: www.activateecstasy.comInstagram: @skcousineauMore from Bianca:www.biancaleamorra.comPS- Are you an artist looking to strengthen your vision & connection to your work? It doesn't really matter what you CAN do, it matters what you WANT to do.Isn't it funny how sometimes when we hit goals or milestone accomplishments it can feel completely neutral or even empty & disappointing? You can't fake what actually lights you up within yourself. If you feel confused about what you care about, it'll be made clear by your body's reaction to it. Ep. 54 "Be Careful What You Get Good At": How to Connect to Your Artistic Vision Under PressureJust recently I was submitting photos to an open call and found myself looking through my work for what best felt like the vibe of the host's publication. But what I realized is even if I had been selected and “rewarded” for correctly guessing what they would like best- I wouldn't feel the deep sense of fulfillment that I would if I chose the images that resonate most with my gut. The ones I feel truly proud of.Have you ever seen or taken photographs that were technically on point but you didn't feel anything from them?Learning all of the technical tools/processes/strategies of your craft or profession is a massive feat but can all end up feeling like “so what?” in the end. A pretty picture is just a pretty picture without your heart in it. Without meaning. In today's episode I'm talking about the importance of being able to connect to your vision under pressure. Sometimes when we lose our calm and let expectation & noise frazzle our nervous system, our ability to see gets compromised. In situations like this you can become so fixated on finding the “right” light or background that you completely miss the magnificence of the presence in front of you.How can we trust ourselves to see? This topic is one that I feel can be an unlock for life- not just in your craft.I'm currently working on a course for photographers on exactly this: Connecting to your innate vision & finding calm and trust in your ability to see in any circumstance. I believe this will redefine your photographic practice, your confidence, your work, & ultimately lead to deeper fulfillment.Do you resonate with this? I turned my biggest fear into a beautiful vision for my life.

At 11 yrs old, I was in bed staring at the dark ceiling and I had my first ever panic attack while considering the meaning of death. I just kept thinking, "nothing. nothing, nothing, nothing." The idea that everything that was so important to me would eventually turn into nothing, was too much for my 11 yr old brain to handle.

I became obsessed with documenting, saving, & creating things with meaning. Grease stained lunch notes, home video stills, and creating immersive installations dedicated to loved ones present & passed-I viewed everything through a nostalgic lens. I saw through the current state and into the sentimental core of it all. I received my BFA in Photography and continued living my life with a deep desire to make it count & not miss it. (whatever "it " was)

In 2021, the death of my beloved dog, my first real loss in life, confirmed that the work I had been creating and my process for living it served a higher and an infinitely more expansive purpose. Grief, comfort, love, self discovery- I didn't find refuge in grand, polished places. I found what I needed in the chronicles of my seemingly mundane nothingness. There is was, the whole time. I knew it all along and yet- I needed to be reminded. Don't we always know? Sometimes we all just need reminding.

Since then I have launched a podcast, an intimate membershipeducation, & photographic commission offerings. All of my work is centered around showing you that your "nothing" is really your everything. All you have to do is see.

Join me at the intersection of mindful photographic practice, connecting to your truth, & creative expression so that you can live more of your life on purpose.
